Guest Blog Post: Next Generation Affiliate Marketing of Videos Through White Label Distribution
Ever since YouTube made it possible to embed videos onto blogs and websites, video content has become completely ubiquitous and viral.Following YouTube’s footsteps and getting your video content embedded throughout the Web does increase video views and viewer engagement, but the process of selecting the right content in the right context is manual and tedious and limits the potential of this distribution channel.

Converting Article Readers Into Highly Engaged Video Viewers
Although online video watching is reaching a major trending peak these days, the overall marketplace for generating ad revenue from video is relatively small when compared with traditional online textually based webpages.

Location, Location, Location: GEO-locate Your Video Users and Unleash Deep Insights
This is a guest blog post from Adam Singolda, Founder and CEO of Taboola. In real estate, the old saying “location, location, location,” speaks to the simple concept that the best-located properties are the most valuable. The concept of location and video users never really had much potential until recently

Guest Blog Post: How Best to Monetize Your Video Assets
By providing recommended videos, online publishers are able to keep users engaged for a longer period and entice them to come back to watch more. Thanks to our Engagement-based technology, publishers can now serve up recommended videos that truly have personal meaning for users. Those video recommendations are mostly served up on article pages to convert article traffic to high CPM video pages, on core video pages and players, and even on distributed sites to marry your video content with third party content -- all in an effort to drive users back to the site.

A More Personalized Video Experience
We often hear the phrase “maximize video content” when it comes to online publishers and video. While this term provides an overall vision for making the most of online video assets, we don’t hear much about how publishers can actually do it.

5 steps to a manageable video strategy
Video content has a good chance of dominating the web. In July 2009 alone, an astounding 158 million U.S. internet users -- or 80 percent of the nation's online population -- watched online videos, according to data from comScore Video Metrix. While the best way to meet this demand is to provide more video content, it should be noted that too much content will become an "untamable beast" -- especially when it comes to ensuring that videos are personalized and customized.

Content Discovery: The New Peer In Search
Today we bring you another guest blogger, Adam Singolda. Adam is the CEO and Founder, Taboola, a video recommendation engine. For far too long, Internet users have been tasked with being proactive in searching for content that is relevant to their wants and desires. While the concept of search has certainly improved over the past 10 years or so, the ease of creating, distributing and consuming content – as well as the overall user experience — have changed tremendously. This leaves us to ask is search the answer? Perhaps discovery is the new search?

What’s Next for Video Players: Chromeless, Plug-ins, Extensions
Big rectangular screen, controls along the bottom, triangular play button, some kind of timeline. The fact that video players look mostly the same doesn’t stop every platform from making its own (see a collage of five control strips below).

Taboola Aims to Crack Video Recommendations Nut
For Internet-based content, recommendations have to be one of the toughest nuts to crack. There are just so many variables in play - analyzing and characterizing the initial piece of content consumed, building a large enough database of content to match it against, understanding individual user's peculiarities, presenting results in a meaningful way, etc. Still, effective recommendations are powerful because they enhance the user's experience, increase consumption and drive more ad inventory

Taboola: Funding Announcement Imminent & CNN Deal?
Something is definitely stirring over at video recommendation/discovery provider Taboola, which we last covered a year ago. I’ve had multiple sources in the Israeli VC community insist that the company has closed a multi-million round of financing, with Evergreen Ventures Partners being the primary investor. Additionally, while following the US Elections in its final month I also happened to spot Taboola recommendations on CNN.com’s videos. Both the company and Evergreen are keeping tightlipped on any funding round or a CNN deal.
