What is the key purpose of an HR Coordinator?
As an HR Coordinator based in New York on the Americas HR team, you will be responsible for managing critical HR processes, with a focus on payroll, employee onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives. The HR Coordinator acts as a central point of contact for HR operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and an exceptional employee experience across the organization.
NOTE: This is a part-time, temporary for 20-25 hours per week for approximately 6 months with a potential opportunity to extend.
What skills and qualifications do I need?
For this role it is essential that you have:
- 2-3+ years of experience in HR operations, payroll administration, or a similar role
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality surrounding sensitive employee data
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Google Suite
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice to haves include:
- Experience working with SuccessFactors and/or ADP
What will I be doing on a day-to-day basis?
As an HR Coordinator at Taboola, no two days will ever be the same. You will:

Work closely with and support the needs of the HR Business Partnering team

Be a trusted resource to all employees for any HR related questions or requests along with communicating policies, procedures and programs

Provide new joiners with pre and post-onboarding information. Conduct regional New Hire Orientations. Coordinate with hiring manager, IT, Employee Experience & Benefits teams to provide an enjoyable onboarding experience

Offboard exiting employees, ensuring smooth transitions

Administer payroll processes for Canada, US, and LatAm, ensuring accuracy, managing exceptions, preparing reports for submission, and serving as the primary contact for HR, Finance, and employees

Facilitate the HR logistics for any employee movements/transfers being the PM for this effort

Provide data analysis or reporting regarding payroll, benefits and other compensation and benefit related matters

Maintain and update labor law posters, ADP employee resources page and other communication mediums.

Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, support, and employee experience

Manage HR service providers, vendors, and outsourced contractors

Prepare and manage all statutory and non-statutory documents, including EEO & CA salary reports and employee handbooks.

Ensure I-9 renewals and documentation compliance in ADP

Answer unemployment letters received via mail. Request & File background checks
NOTE: while the Coordinator will assist with the onboarding process, talent acquisition/recruitment is not a part of this role.

The pay range for this position in New York is $27 - $33 per hour.The pay offered may vary depending on several factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We may offer several perks as part of the compensation package that include a discretionary bonus, equity, flexible PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance, a competitive 401(k) match, paid parental leave, etc.
