Taboola Signs Exclusive Multi-Year Partnership Deal With RCS MediaGroup One Of Europe’s Largest Media Groups
Taboola Helps Media Group Boost Revenue, Audiences with News Feed, Provides Newsroom Technology to Drive Significant Traffic
NEW YORK, NY. September 30, 2020 – Taboola, the world’s leading discovery platform, today announced a multi-year exclusive partnership with RCS MediaGroup, one of Italy’s leading multimedia communications groups with more than one billion monthly views on publisher sites alone.
This strategic partnership will see RCS MediaGroup using Taboola’s discovery platform across all of their sites. This includes Corriere della Sera, the most read newspaper in Italy, as well as La Gazzetta dello Sport, the number one sports news website in Italy. The partnership will focus on increasing recirculation of content across RCS Media’s extensive library of media (television, magazines, sports, entertainment and news sites) and increasing user engagement through Taboola Feed.
Taboola Feed is a seamlessly integrated infinite feed that provides readers with personalized content for a more engaging experience editorially from the site they are on, and from the web. Similar to how people experience social networks, Taboola Feed encourages audiences on the open web to stay engaged on a publisher’s site by scrolling through a personalized stream of content, video, and other experiences the user might be interested in discovering next.
RCS MediaGroup will also use Taboola Newsroom to monitor editorial content, increase readership and more effectively monetize. Newsroom uses AI and the largest dataset on the open web to provide Publishers and Advertisers with actionable insights and data about content performance in real time, as well as unique insights on trending topics that can inform decisions. Newsroom’s unique subscription feature allows editorial teams to see which articles drive conversions, learn how subscribers are engaging with content to reduce churn, and can assess a reader’s likelihood to subscribe. This will allow RCS to easily be able to better engage with current subscribers, and acquire significant new revenues
News is more important than ever and RCS chose to partner with Taboola to make sure that RCS is keeping pace with what consumers want. Making sure that RCS can drive audiences and therefore monetize is a priority in today’s shifting readership landscape. Taboola is already a critical growth partner in Spain with Unidad Editorial (El Mundo, Expansión and Marca).
“RCS’s ethos to “produce culture and information, in line with the principles of freedom, fairness and pluralism”, is very close to our hearts and our own ethos to support and help journalism thrive,” said Adam Singolda, CEO and Founder at Taboola. “We are excited to partner with RCS, a media giant that shares our vision of delivering news to massive audiences and commitment to quality journalism. This partnership is an expansion of our existing work in other territories and we look forward to further collaboration.”
